DATAGOV is an interdisciplinary research project examining GOVERNANCE BY DATA INFRASTRUCTURE; a concept explaining how societies are increasingly governed through the data they generate. We focus on biometrics, digital identity, and health and education technologies, with the aim to investigate how these technologies and infrastructures reshape sovereignty, citizenship, and inequality. DATAGOV aims to re-imagine and support more just and accountable data futures through our qualitative research on social and data lives of ordinary people in Brazil, EU, South Africa, and India.
